Electricians install electrical systems in structures; they install wiring and other electrical components, such as circuit breaker panels, switches, and light fixtures, and they follow blueprints, the National Electrical Code® and state and local codes.
To prepare trainees a career in the electrical field, NCCER offers a comprehensive, 4-level Electrical curriculum that complies with DOL time-based standards for apprenticeship.
APPRENTICE – As you work through each module, there will be videos and activities designed to support your learning.
IMPORTANT – Some sections include required content—such as videos, quizzes, or other activities—that must be completed before you can move on to the next part of the module and to receive completion credit. These checkpoints are in place to ensure you’re fully engaging with the material and building the skills needed to succeed in your trade.
